Welcome back everyone!
To catch up on how we got here, check out Shed Stories Part 1 – 5. After Tuff Shed came out we had about 24 hours of dry skies and then it poured. This was the moment of truth. We checked the shed like kids trying to sneak a peek of Santa. Lo and behold… the drywall was dry! Praise Him!! Let the painting begin. Let the Painting Begin.
We have decided to stick with Sherwin Williams White Dove for both the walls and trim. We also decided to do a white washed coat for the trusses. It gives it a slight washed out color but still shows the wood grain. Fancy, right? They knocked it out in one day and it turned out great.
Let the Flooring Begin.
We’ve decided to go with the a LifeProof Woodacres Oak Vinyl Flooring. It’s got a rich brown and white pattern that should go well with the White Dove. Who even am I? Well, it has arrived and a crew is onsite to install it. A few hours of cutting, hammering and sawing and voilà… we have an amazing floor. I love it!
This picture, this moment is breathtaking.
From concept to almost complete, from a patch of dirt to a piece of heaven; I have loved and lost sleep over this project. I have wondered both what took us so long and what on Earth have we done… all in the same week, all in the same day! But we’re here now and I couldn’t be happier. Thank you for coming on this journey with us. We have read the weekly words of encouragement and love over and over. We still have a little ways to go but the major stuff (minus furniture *Lord help us) is behind us.
Next up. Final touches. Join us for Shed Stories Part 7:
How will we heat/cool the shed?
We still need address the water pooling on the front deck.
For the love of all things holy… we need furniture. Help!! – N
